Evolve at the Adam and Eve

October 6, 2016 9:33 am

Earlier this year Aquarius put an offer in on a famous derelict pub in Digbeth in Birmingham – The Adam and Eve.

We are in the process of transforming it into a multi use space and functional venue comprising of;

  • A range of services and support groups;
  • A working café/restaurant
  • 2 conference rooms available for external organisations to hire.

It will be a social enterprise with any profit made being reinvested into the project or other suitable Aquarius projects.

In the summer staff and volunteers voted on a name, we have decided to call our new project EVOLVE.

Evolve will contain a functioning café which will provide young people under the age of 24 with the opportunity to gain access into work and education.

We will work with partner agencies such as; Spring Housing and Lenches Trust to help us with different aspects of the project including helping us to identify young people who are suitable for the placements.

Now we need your help to Evolve to the next stage!

We have stripped it back and refit the kitchen but we need you the people of Birmingham to dig deep and help us invest in this project to help support young people and those in recovery. We need to raise money to transform the inside into a working space, we want it to be fresh, bright and inviting for people to use.

If you’re able to donate we really appreciate it and we hope you’ll join us for a cup of tea once we open in the new year
