For over 40 years, we’ve worked with individuals, families and communities to help them understand their behaviour, overcome harm, and move towards a life they value.

We don’t judge. We don’t tell people what to do. We listen, we support, and we walk alongside people for however long they need us.

What We Support

Everyone’s experience is different. That’s why we offer support that adapts to individual needs, life stages, and communities.

Alcohol

We help people explore their drinking, reduce harm, and build strategies for change.

Aquarius is part of the Waythrough family

Aquarius is part of Waythrough, who are our parent company. This means we are part of a wider group company that provides specialist support across substance use, gambling, mental health, housing, and domestic abuse across England.

We know that people and their problems don’t fit into neatly labelled boxes. And that finding help can be hard when life gets messy. Too many people hit dead ends when they need open doors and answers. We work together with a shared vision to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value.

Aquarius and Waythrough work together to ensure high quality, evidence-based services are designed around the needs of the people we serve.

Our Approach

We believe that behaviour makes sense when you understand the full context of someone’s life. That means looking beyond the surface, at relationships, housing, health, culture, community, and what someone is really trying to cope with, avoid, or escape.

Our role isn’t to fix people

It’s to hear them, to see them, and to meet them where they are. We help people recognise what’s going on, understand their patterns, and take steps that feel possible and right for them.

All our services are grounded in behavioural approaches and built on evidence, but delivered with empathy, flexibility, and a deep respect for lived experience.
We work with young people, adults, families and communities. Some people come to us for a short time, others stay connected for longer. However you access support, we’ll meet you where you are, and move forward together.

Alongside one-to-one and group support, many of our services offer outreach, peer programmes, family support, and offer activities to build connection and confidence.

Our training and consultancy arm, Aquarius Life is designed to help employers and organisations create healthier, more supportive workplaces.

From one-off sessions to full staff programmes, we offer evidence-based training on topics like alcohol, drugs, gambling and wellbeing. Delivered by experienced professionals, our courses help teams feel more confident, informed and prepared to support others, and themselves.

Encouraging Open Conversations About Money

Every day, we speak to people who feel anxious about bills, repayments, or managing their money and we know that gambling can sometimes make these financial worries more difficult to manage. What may start as a way of making money, escaping stress or an attempt to “win back” losses can quickly lead to greater financial…

Recovery Is a Shared Journey

Recovery is a complex journey, not only for the person choosing to reduce or stop using, but for everyone around them: friends, partners, colleagues, family members, and children. Everyone in that circle also experiences recovery in some way recovering trust, resilience, and confidence again. We accept our loved ones, whatever the struggle, but recovery doesn’t…
