Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. From helping run activities and groups to offering a listening ear, our volunteers play a vital role in helping people overcome the harms caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling.

Whether you're looking to give back, gain experience or just be part of something meaningful, there’s a place for you here.

Why volunteer with us?

Volunteering with Aquarius means joining a team that believes in kindness, inclusion and the power of support.

You’ll meet new people, learn valuable skills and help others feel seen, heard and understood.

We’ll support you every step of the way with induction training and development opportunities tailored to your role.

Many of our volunteers go on to further training, paid work or simply stay with us because they love being part of the community.

In 24/25 our volunteers gave us 4,531 hours of their time, this equates to 604 working days and 120 working weeks.

In total 40 Volunteers have supported 1281 interventions across Aquarius services

Help organise and run wellbeing activities

We ask for a regular commitment – usually a minimum of 2 hours a week – especially for roles supporting vulnerable individuals, where consistency matters most.

A DBS check is needed and will be requested prior to being given the volunteering opportunity.

Volunteering in Young People’s Services

Working with young people is energetic, creative and incredibly rewarding. You’ll be part of a team that helps young people feel heard, supported and empowered.
